Smith Real Estate Services, Inc. Teams Up with Global Real Estate Leader to Manage Acquisition of Space Acquisition Process for Federal Agencies
Atlanta, GA. - The General Services Administration’s Public Buildings Service awarded five private sector commercial real estate brokers, a national broker contract on October 4, 2004 to provide lease acquisition for federal agencies, the largest single contract of its type in the history of GSA’s Public Building Services (PBS). Among the five who were awarded the contract was CB Richard Ellis Real Estate Services, Inc., (SRES) the world’s largest real estate services company. Smith Real Estate Services has been engaged as a subcontractor to provide lease acquisition services throughout Region 4, the Southeastern Region.
Smith Real Estate Services, Inc. and CB Richard Ellis officially entered into a sub-contractual agreement on April 12, 2007. As part of the agreement, Smith Real Estate Services will manage the space acquisition process for federal agencies on behalf of GSA for Region 4, which consists of 8 states: Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, and Kentucky.
Upon execution of the contract Pamela J.
